Pretoria, South Africa — The stage was set, the red carpet rolled out, and the stars were ready to shine! The Opera Theatre in Pretoria was ablaze with glitz and glamour on the 21st of October, 2023, as the National Film & TV Awards South Africa announced the winners from public vote which saw over 1.7 million TV/Film fans vote this year.
The awards show produced by the National Film Academy with versions in the United Kingdom and USA have expanded to South Africa with a mission to promote, celebrate and provide exposure for actors, actresses, films, programmes and the film and tv industry in South Africa to a global audience. Guided by our brilliant hosts, Jordan and Cedii, the night was an uproarious success. Their comedic chemistry left the audience in stitches, ensuring that laughter was the theme of the evening.
The red carpet was graced by the luminaries of the South African entertainment industry. Celebrities and icons walked the carpet in style, exuding glamour and charisma. It was a night to remember, where elegance met entertainment.
The entertainment continued on stage with unforgettable performances. Lusanda, Okashi, and the University of Pretoria took us on a musical journey, enthralling the audience with their melodic talents.
The show’s grand finale was presented by Ovuwa, an African dance troupe, who left the audience spellbound with their mesmerizing dance performance. They closed the show with a heartwarming rendition of the South African national anthem, leaving everyone with goosebumps.

The organization visited Peas in a Pod Urbanvest Foundation and House Gracia Child & Youth Care Centre.
