The National Film & TV Awards South Africa is proudly produced by the National Film Academy, a renowned institution that originated in the United Kingdom. Established in 1999, the National Film Academy has grown into a global entity, boasting over 5.7 million members across 15 countries. The Academy is celebrated for its flagship events, including the National Film Awards in the UK and the National Film & TV Awards in the United States and Asia.
Expanding Horizons
In response to the burgeoning talent and dynamic creativity within South Africa’s entertainment industry, the National Film Academy launched the NFTA South Africa in 2023. This initiative reflects our commitment to expanding our global reach and providing South African filmmakers, actors, and television personalities with a platform to shine on an international stage.
