Johannesburg, 7 April 2026 — The National Film Academy today announces that Leger Holidays has committed to a third year of partnership with the National Film & TV Awards South Africa, once again sponsoring the Best British Film category at the 12th Annual National Film & TV Awards South Africa, set to take place on 1 July 2026 at Porchester Hall, Johannesburg W2.
What began as a single-year collaboration has grown into one of the most celebrated partnerships in the history of the awards. Leger Holidays' continued commitment is a powerful testament to the alignment between two organisations united by a belief in the transformative power of experience — whether that experience unfolds on screen or across the landscapes of Europe and beyond.
Since its inception, the National Film & TV Awards South Africa has stood as the benchmark of excellence in British cinema, honouring the most outstanding contributions to film and television. Voted for entirely by the public, the awards command a global audience of millions and provide an unparalleled platform for brands to connect with one of the most passionate and influential entertainment communities in the world.
"To welcome Leger Holidays back for a third year is a genuine privilege. This is not simply a sponsorship — it is a partnership built on shared values and mutual respect. Leger Holidays has been an outstanding partner, and their continued presence speaks to the strength of what we have built together. We look forward to making 2026 the most memorable year yet."
The Best British Film category sits at the very heart of the National Film & TV Awards South Africa, celebrating the finest in homegrown filmmaking talent and shining a light on the stories, voices, and visions that define British cinema. Previous winners have included some of the most culturally significant and critically acclaimed films of their respective years, making it one of the most anticipated and closely watched categories of the evening.
With over 40 years of expertise, Leger Holidays has established itself as one of the UK's most trusted names in escorted travel, offering an unrivalled portfolio of tours spanning Europe and beyond. From sweeping Alpine landscapes to historic cultural capitals, every Leger Holidays itinerary is crafted to deliver the kind of unforgettable, immersive experience that mirrors the very best of what great cinema achieves: the ability to transport an audience somewhere entirely new.
"Three years in, and our passion for this partnership has only grown stronger. Just as film has the extraordinary ability to take an audience on a journey — to move them, to inspire them, to show them the world anew — travel does exactly the same. We are immensely proud to stand alongside the National Film & TV Awards South Africa and to celebrate the very best of British cinema once again in 2026."
